LOL I have a white DS too. xD I am thinking of getting white for that reason.
I was worried that white would get dirty but was like~ I'm probably going to get a skin or case for it later. <.<; Like I did with my DS.

i was thinking about getting the black one at first. but then i saw the white in person.... i can't explain how exponentially better it looks than the black.

I was thinking about getting the black 16GB to have it kinda match my 24" iMac (The black casing around the screen). But I thought to my self, fuck it, the white one looks classier (in my opinion). I am getting my iPhone tomorrow at 9 Am, right when the store opens.

Yes, in stores only. Also, starting September 7, Best Buy will be selling them. Again, not online.

They activate it in store. When I mentioned I had to activate it at home that is only because iTunes servers crashed on launch day
