In my opinion this class is a must attend for CCW holders. Regulation classes merely cover basic firing and safety with a dash of legal while the most difficult parts of being a CCW holder are knowing when to use your weapon, and deploying without hesitation when the time comes. THE FIGHT covers these crucial topics, however you will also learn the answers are not black and white. The class is designed for each attendee to find answers from within as each scenario presents realistic situations of when daily life goes bad.

Some viewers have been a little confused so here is some clarification:
This video is meant to show topics covered and not be actual lessons. It is not a glamor reel as some of the best lessons are learned by making mistakes in training. Students are shown reacting with both good and bad results, and sometimes none at all.

  • Cool, but there were a lot of situations where drawing your gun wouldn't be a good idea... and why were people who complying being executed? What gain does the bad guy have for killing you after he's gotten all your money?

  • It can be hard to see, but the vast majority of those seemingly being compliant are being shot because they are going for their gun. On this vid only one clip shows shooting after full compliance and that is to teach a separate lesson.

  • Where is this school located and how much does it cost? is it a one day class? From the looks of it it seems to be very practical.

  • This a 2 day class and the location can depend. Check out the Tactical Response website for more intel.

  • Wait this isnt airsoft, he pointed out hits. So this is paint marking? Where do you buy paint marking rounds, I assume they work in real firearms.

  • This class uses UTM ammunition which works on real firearms with a conversion package.

  • This video gave me the impression that all this class was doing was shoving you into a situation that you couldn't possibly win.

I'm sure thats not the case, but I personally can't see a way of getting out of half of these situations alive even to a trained specialist.

Not to mention drawing your CCW would just be a bad idea in most. (for example, two people facing you with guns drawn like at 0:58. Drawing your weapon isnt exactly the best of ideas.)

  • Very cool. There is no replacement for good situational training like this. Being accurate against paper targets with little to no stress is one thing, wait till your target is firing back at you or even worse started firing first.

  • looks like an excellent class.

  • This looks like a good class. I've taken some defensive firearm class before but never anything this dynamic.

  • At any rate, about as real as one can make it and still deal with the reality that role-players do know it's still acting, and you can't control for such anticipation. Bravo Yeager and company. You can continue to bring cutting edge training solutions.

  • @shodan1028 Getting rid of the witnesses. It doesn't take long to search the internet for news stories of cooperative victims who were simply EXECUTED! Everyone should remember Tookie Williams, the reformed Gang member executed a couple years back.......his victim, a convenience store employee, cooperated completely, laid politely down in the back room, and was promptly shoot in the back of the head, prone, with a 12 gauge shotgun. Anyone who believes compliance is life is a fool.

  • In other words, good as training like this is, it ultimately becomes a game of 'gotchya'.......however, if you turned around and bust the role-player in the nose and break it (when he's not expecting contact) I GUARANTEE that element of surprise would throw off even the 'gotchya' playing opponent. Not that we can do that, but it's an example of the real world creeping in. A quick eldow that breaks the cartilege of the nose, followed by contact wounds to the face, is better than spin and shot.

  • @milspecmonkey Part of that is role-player anticipation. As a role-player, knowing this is a CCW/Weapons holder class, you KNOW that at some point the other person is going for a gun, so you are simply playing a game of anticipation waiting for your reaction. In the really real world, 999 out of 1,000 the bad guy would not have picked this victim if he didn't think he was unarmed, thereby the belief that the other person is unarmed is a real world advantage not had in training.

  • @CustardTheDragonBoy Something that does represent some limitation. Simply drawing the gun and firing limits one. The ability to clear the other persons weapon off line, then putting contact distance wounds on target, is a better choice. Still, it's far better than the average training that many folks get. More contact would be a good addition, however. Part of being able to use your mind, is learning to use ALL the tools available, and not getting tool specific locked in, i.e. the gun.

  • This is great training.

And all those questions were good ones to ask oneself BEFORE you ever get into the situation.

I'm big on thinking through all of the "what if's".

It's never like the real thing, but simulation will give your motor skills a fighting chance in the real world.

    Were you guys using simunnition?

  • Fk-in A man! I'm taking this class...Thanks for the demo video.

  • I don't CCW and never will, but it seems like a course like this should be mandatory for shall-issue states. Not necessarily to test for judgment, but to give holders a taste of what it's like to shoot (or not shoot) under extreme pressure. Seems like an ounce of this would be worth a pound of range marksmanship.
