Topic of debate this week has been whether Victor Cruz did indeed fumble late in the fourth quarter. The Cardinals recovered and could have potentially sealed the game on offense, but the play could not be reviewed. The Giants caught a break and Hakeem Nicks had the game winning reception from Eli Manning.

This is why the Giants didn't deserve to win the Super Bowl, imo. If the refs had called this right, they wouldn't made it to the playoffs.

I think that rule is only for College Football.

If you fall in the NFL & no opposing team player touches you on the ground or causes you to fall, then you can get up and advance the ball.

you guys are ignorant, he read the rule and said if the player make no advancement then the play is dead, that is what he did, he drop and made no advancement. It doesn't matter what time it is it can be done at any time at anypoint in the game. Hence when a play runs a kick back, they can wave there hand for a fair catch in which the play is dead no advancement. On top of the the refs blew the whistle just when he was on the floor.

Don't your knees or elbows touching the ground mean the play is dead? Yes it does

If the ref doesn't blow the whistle, the play is not over. They would blow the whistle if he was down. Therefore it is a fumble.
