@planb56 I clocked the ball from release to it hitting the pins and it was about the same time. 2.2-2.3 seconds. However, a ball hooking more will be slower than one going straighter. It would seem that he actually keep keep the same speed but put more on the ball to get it going from inside Or perhaps, more oil makes the ball travel slightly faster. One thing I did not take into account is that the balls being used might not be the same in terms of layout and coverstock preparation.
@planb56 Wes went outside and did not hit the headpin which is something it seems that none of the Big B staffers had problems with. I did not measure speed but since you mentioned it, I will now.
@meanboy2005 only thing u gotta look for also, is the speed difference as he went to the longer patterns he slowed his speed dramatically, and wes was probably playing that line because it gave him the best look for error room and carry. the video wants to show the hook, they'll carry eventually so they dont care the line, and the backends seem fresh on here so they can get more inside and not worry about it recovering.
@meanboy2005 lol yea i wouldnt be suprised if they had some wear. that's the hard part about watching ball reviews is that usually all the strikes they show end up being over the course of 15-30 shots so you can't really tell how much play has already been on the pattern :P
@AugieGK4life what I found interesting was that others with lower rev rates played the lanes differently. Rev rate aside, I can only speculate that sean rash was playing the lanes after there was some play on the patterns. And to me that makes sense because of the other players rolling the evil and who knows what else on the patterns while they are filming. Maybe these pro an lanes have more wear at the track? Even Big Wes played closer to the head pin on scorpion with less angle.:)
@meanboy2005 well 3 of them might have broke off the same board, but the cheetah was at 3, then after that it was around 7th, 8th and 9th board remembering that he changed how deep he was playing and how far down the lane the ball broke from. the shark was a bad shot even tho he struck :P

Interesting that 4 out of 5 shots had the same breakpoint.
