Hold on... If the proximity sensor went off because of the abandoned ship, why didn't it go off when Jubal Early's ship was tailing them in Objects in Space?

@writergirl107 According to the movie, the Reavers were humans who reacted to a drug the Alliance were testing to calm the population. They went insane and became really violent. So they're insane humans.
