How to make a guitar pickup for $5.00 mainly for an acoustic guitar, but you can use it for any instrument even trumpet! it works by picking up vibrations not magnetic disturbances-like an electric guitar pickup. Just as a tip for pickup placement, the sweetspot is usually about 1/2 inch to an inch in front of the bridge and under the D,G,B, strings. hope this helps anyone wishing to install the pickup on an acoustic guitar.

Ok I went out and tried this... and it worked ok.Did it sound good? F*Ck No lol

. I have an old chinese squier strat I use for experimenting on.. you must clamp it to the body of the guitar or sandwich it between the bridge baseplate and the wood of the body.. has to be pressed firmly against a part of the body that resonates. save your 5 bucks

So I tried it and yea it sux. Good idea but a piezo needs pressure to work and there's no pressure applied to it to work. So yea don't do it.
