Ahhh there is where you middle school kids are wrong. In this piece, you could play it, but the trick to the piece is to unwrap the musical texture behind it therefore perfecting all the flaws a middle school band would of had.

I am doubtful that you are playing for middle school. This is a moderately high level piece and most middle school students wouldn't even be able to play the first couple measures. You may be playing a easier version of this song, but not the original.

aww.... the piccolo soloist didn't get the high Bb at 2:55 but she still did good. i had the solo for for my honors class and scored it perfectly but you know, that solo is hard so i'd give it to her. she did good!

what rewrite? thats how the solo was written originally. it had both the optional whole note and the chromatic written in my part. i like the chromatic better.

Not to bad. I like it when the piccolo plays the solo on the last repeated strain...I know its not written but it sounds awsome.
