I believe the tuning is a half step lower than drop "D" tuning; To give the song a more gutteral sound and more "umph". The message (lyrics) are some of the best as far as contemporary christian rock; without compromising in the vocal area (I can't stand growling, squealing and grunting in Hardcore Metal). The sweet brothers know how to bring it; but the mainstream music industry doesn't appreciate Stryper. To me this is the best kind of rock to listen to period; End of story. Caio

Cool song. I have it at the top of my Youtube channel list. The only difference in the way I play it is I alternate the down-strokes with up strokes through most of the song. Also when you are strumming the low parts with the top string open, I instead strum with all three of the top strings open to give the song more body;and I guess that's the way I hear it as well. I also do some pretty decent soloing during the chorus and toward the end. The song is very simple but ROCKS. Bless you brother.

@migdclm Thanks for the comment. I don't have the tab but the tuning is listed in the "info" section. This should help make it easier to find the chords.
