after watching this only scene in tamil,i can say that telugu remake "rudraveena" is dishonest and didn't kept track of the soul of the film
and wonder both are directed by Balachander .k
but his originality was diverted by surrounding men i suppose
in telugu it was not so real,it was over the top

@saveen3 this is one of the best film kamal acted. Kamal is from a carnatic music family and once there was a program at some temple. On the way he saw some huts where burning. His father asked him to come but he helped people and got the angry of his father. beautiful thing is the role acted as kamal's father is none other than the great Gemini Ganeshan father of hindi actress Rekha Ganeshan. This is my best film till now. The name is Unnal mudium thambi (You can do it brother).

They are- NAAYAGAN, ANBE SIVAM, ABOORVA SAGODHARARGAL, ABOORVA RAAGANGAL(also rajni's first film!), HEY RAM, MICHAEL MADAN KAMARAAJAN, MOONDRAM PIRAI, NAMMAVAR, ORU KAIDHIYIN DIARY, PADHINAARU VAYADINILEY, SIGAPPU ROJAKKAL, DEVAR MAGAN..etc etc. You'll just fall in love with his work....!
