This video is about Fort Baker, which is a fort located in the Marin Headlands. In the beginning of the 20th century, a few forts were built around the bay area to protect the coast from invasion. At one time, 2 particular forts were known only as one, Fort Baker, but later, in 1904, Fort Baker was divided into 2 forts, Fort Baker and Fort Barry. Fort Baker was, and still is located right next to the golden gate bridge. The fort itself had a hospital, gymnasium, as well as countless general's quarters and soldiers barracks.at Fort baker, there was only one job. To defend the coast. In 1942, As a result of this job, men began creating mine fields around the entrance of the bay, so that no ships could pass through.
