This is an overview of the language organization and features of the Speak for Yourself iPad application that was released on December 20th, 2011! This research-based Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) language app was designed by two speech-language pathologists with extensive experience and success in working with individuals who are nonverbal. Speak for Yourself is pre-programmed with almost 5,000 core and extended vocabulary words and can be customized for the individual. This application can begin with a single word, but has the capacity to hold almost 14,000...with no more than 2 touches to say any word! The AAC user is able to build language for a lifetime without re-learning known vocabulary because motor planning remains consistent. Everyone deserves a voice because it is a basic human right to Speak for Yourself!

If PRC sues you out of business then you should seriously leak the source. Screw patent trolls.

I'm 24 and I have global apraxia. I went through speech therapy from age 3 to 12. I still can't say a few words. I'm going to get this app.

If the lawsuit goes south, leak the source, I'm an iOS dev and would happily keep this alive.

That app is absolutely useless as it english-biased so much, it's not even funny.

I like the 2 touch system, also makes it less confusing, and more adaptable to a wider audience . Magic words..." and play with the different language."
