Classical Gas - Mason Williams Version

What those of you who are not guitarists may not know is that (taking nothing away from Mason Williams in saying it), he had the benefit of overdubs, master engineer and - Oh, yeah - AN ORCHESTRA BACKING HIM UP! The man playing here has a guitar and a recording device with somebody operating it while he plays, yet he's pretty close to spot-on throughout the piece. To those who would find fault, I'd say: "I'm looking forward to seeing YOUR version soon!".

Was going to be a bollocks and say the guitar is tuned too high, but after listening, i actually feel it added(if possible) even more drama to the piece, very, very, very good cover. :D

Thanks A.
The strings were "new on" 20mins before I posted this. I overwound them, in the hope they would settle down (as you do). The gas fire doesn't help either!
I prefer your explanation.... that it was done on purpose to add drama.
Hee hee.
Cheers,
Paul
