If you've not figured out the issue with the headspeed yet, here's my guess. I think you need to set the blade pitch. It's pretty easy to do, once you do it the first time.
Nice looking heli :) Iv heard that sound once before when I was flying with a friend he had a raptor 90se and for some reason it made that "POP" sound, then when he tryed to fire it up again there wasnt any compression it blew a perfect hole on the piston crown.....
Headspeed way too high. Not enough pitch.

It sounds like it went lean, maybe the muffler came loose?
