Just a quick demo of how Jimmy Reed played the B chord in a E blues shuffle. The A string is played open as you descend back down.

  • @cencor4 I don't know what was on Keith's mind. I haven't read his book yet, and this isn't based on anything I've seen him play.

  • @tap4154 Richards discusses Reed's influence on him and the chord maneuvers he used in the book. Its not neccessarily what Richards plays, but the way he approaches playing that Reed influenced

  • @marteeen0 The guy who showed him was Bobby Goldsboro, which is almost unbelievable if you've ever heard the hits he had. Look him up here on YT if you're not familiar with him -- songs like "Watching Scotty Grow," etc. Universes away from the Stones and Keith Richards!
