This is near Victorville / Hesperia / Apple Valley.

Not a good way, to end the day.

  • Cool Catch! I bet the front under frame of the locomotive is fucked up.

  • Oh I'll bet that sensation of going down was like a shock going through the entire body...

  • Ouch! I saw the washout at :28 and was like "oh shit...", pretty sure the crew said the same thing, lol.

  • @NS2174 Not unusual at all. In many cases the locomotive has "stopped" but all sorts of dynamics continue in the consist behind you as the rest of the train does its thing..

  • Looks like they were'nt traveling too fast - maybe a branch line huh

  • Bet the crew was pissin blood for weeks after this KIDNEY BRUISING BUMP!....damn!

  • @CMLovejoy It looks more like the rail was built over a culvert that was too small, causing floodwaters to wash away the earth and ballast; there probably was never a bridge there. See this video that illustrates what I mean: /watch?v=glDbDeZrD5E

  • ...fortunate for the crew the head-end kept on goin' straight!

  • talk about an unexpected jolt/stop..tht will give ur kidneys a good shake..lol...man thts something right there

  • I love how the brakes shot after it stopped lol
