Kitfox 2 rebuilt First solo by owner on Bushwheels

Kitfox 2 was a float plane for 18 years until the flywheel flew apart at 430 hours on the Rotax 582. Brought the whole plane home with boxes of parts and put in a new 582 , IVO prop and many repairs.
I have flwon it about 7 hours dual and 6 hours dual with the owner. He finally took it solo on Sunday November 29,2009 and did a great job. Heck he a commercial multi IFR pilot and his flying showed his proficiency.

I have never been in an airplane of any kind

but i have seen alot of people getting killed in plane crashes from big commercial jetliners to small aircraft such as this.I thnk i would have a parachute on or ready in case the thing started to go down even though skydiving or being up at a high altitude may be scary.

@lahusso You're generally not high enough for a parachute to work when the bad stuff happens.
