Golden Garibaldi fish - enjoy!

Kingdom: Metazoan
Phylum: Chordate

Genus: Hypsypops
Species: Hypsypops rubicundus

The Garibaldi (Hypsypops rubicundus) is a large, bright orange fish usually found in kelp forests on the shores of the Pacific Ocean - off the coast of Southern California and Mexico.

The name Garibaldi comes from the Italian Army leader, Guiseppi Garibaldi, whose soldiers wore bright red shirts.
