@biginerartist A full exhaust LT1 car will put down about 230 rwhp . A stock 2003 cobra puts down 360 rwhp+ . This cobra has mods to make well over 400 at the wheels. Good driver or not this trans am would have gotten smoked. It was a waist of fuel for both in the first place.

@IDontHateOnCars I don't have a camera and I don't know how to post videos on this...but there are a few LT5's on you tube that are just as quick as mine....like low to mid 10's on nothing but motor......and still probably good on gas.I can get 24 on the highway....not too bad.The thing about my car is I don't drive it every day...stays stored for days at a time since I have an older Grand Prix to use daily and my old F-150.

@IDontHateOnCars Then of course you mention the 1/4 mile...remember anyone can be king going in a straight line....the better drivers will always tell you the true measure of a car is at a road course...more of a challenge for both the car and the driver...the Stang has improved over the years,but the Corvette,like I said,is a different animal....but hey,stupid me,I'm looking at another Cobra....stock,but with 170,000 miles....just might get it since I know the owner.....but it's RED!!! LOL!!

@IDontHateOnCars I have NEVER seen one do that....slightly modified,yes,but not bone stock.Especially when the Z06 came out.I realize you love your Stangs,but the Vette is a different animal.I've had both and I can promise you that.Nothing wrong with the Cobras,but then you mention SVT and whoever else may modify them.....but you forget the Lingenfelter cars,of which I have one.....the damn thing about the Stang is their live axle....that independent setup they did was not so good...

@VettemanLT5 No the 2003 cobra has a really big overall advantage. 60-70 more solid hp and with sporty Bilstien shocks, and SVT tuned. This car can beat the c5 coupe in the quarter mile.

@IDontHateOnCars There was no problem with the one I had....like I said it only had a bit over 22000 miles before the drunk clown destroyed it.....and I never did a thing to it,and neither did my friend who I bought it from.....but if what you say is true,then these things are right in Corvette territory even 8 years ago...yet I have only seen the same vintage Cobras,SS's,and WS6's battle it out to the point where the driver wins....no great advantage to either,although the SS was was cool...
