I have had loads of questions from people about my experience at the Berklee College of Music, Boston - and now I'm extending an invite out to anyone who is interested in coming over to send me any questions that they might have about the college!

Feel compelled to message me! :)

  • Hey! Thanks for doing this! I am from Manitoba and have heard so much about how great Berklee is... I am very interested in coming this summer for one of the summer sessions specificily guitar sessions... Do you know what these sessions are like? Also just wondering about yearly tuition... ive heard that for international students tuition + Room and board cost over 50 grand!!?? Are there available scholarships??

  • @openhighway99 The summer sessions always very productive, a lot of fun, and lead to some great relationships/connections. Yearly tuition, for me (including staying on-campus), came up to about $40k a year. There are, however, many scholarships available. If I were you'd I'd phone Berklee and ask them to send you a detailed list.

  • hey i just saw this video and thankfully i wanted to be in berklee.. though i have one flaw in this plan.. I am a huge metal person, and i dont think theyre all big on metal ... what do you suggest? im a guitarist by the way. thanks if you help! :)

  • @metaldedicated4life Oh my, Berklee has so many metal/prog players!

  • I just have a question about auditions. as a drummer what would a good example of an audition be. im sure that for percussion you audition snare timpani and marimba or vibes, but i am wondering if you or any of your drummer friends have any advice for what pieces to perform. also what about a drum set? i think that soloing to "sing sing sing" would be cliche enough to be a good choice. just let me know what you suggest for a drummer and if you can describe the audition process for percussion.

  • @MeTsRoCkMySoCk13 I will send you a private message - I have a URL to send and comments don't allow for those. I will answer both comments.

  • hey!thanks!

but I want to know a lot... haha.

I play piano, and I don't think i'm the best pianist out there... (vids on my channel...)

but I'm definitely not bad. (i just don't practice enough.)

My parents don't want me to go to music school, and my piano teacher doesn't know that I want to go into music...

I'm a classical pianist, but I love other styles (particularly new age and pop). Could you tell me what you think?

PS. I have NEVER done jazz before...

  • @sideburnsbob

    some ear training exercises?

  • @sideburnsbob can you send me that link also? I have the same questions

  • @dencarias i also tried to get information for scholarships but they semeed even more difficult to get because berklee asks for extraordinary talented musicians to be considered for scholarships and i'm good at playing my guitar but not that good as to earn a presidential scholarship haha....is there any way you can help me giving me tips on how to solve the money issue cause that was my only limitant...did you have that problem too while applying ?

  • i'm from honduras and i'm currently stuying at my country even though my first choice after high school was berklee, at was discouraged at applying cause it just could get any way to pay for tuition and stuff like that because it would result even more expensive than usual being an international student...i tried to get financial aid but at last i couldn't because i don't have any person that is an american citizen that could be a cosigner for me in order to apply to financial aid...
