Larry Roberts playing a version of the song Goodnight Irene by Leadbelly based on James Booker's arrangement on a restored 1884 Steinway Concert Grand Piano at the Cadillac Hotel in San Francisco.
New Orleans pianist James Booker's arrangement of the song radically transforms the original, which was in 3/4 time, into 4/4.
The 1884 Steinway Concert Grand Piano in the lobby of San Francisco's Cadillac Hotel was restored and donated to the hotel in the memory of community activist Patricia Walkup by her brother, Lee Walkup.

I'm sorry, something doesnt feel right.. Maybe the right hand pattern. Other than that, good job!

I would do anything to be able to play this. Does anyone know where I could get hold of the sheet music?

Yeah, that's pretty close to J Booker. His left hand is a monster. Good job.

this is great buddy ... I am transposing the Dr's version into C and this helps to put it into perspective ... very cool counterpoint man ... I don't care what anyone says about the speed ...

He's playing too fast - then the nuances of melody are lost!
