At Blobfest, Phoenixville PA, 2008, I had the opportunity to chat with horror movie legend Tom Savini, known best for his work in special effects & makeup, also actor and director.

  • James is so nervous :D

  • It may just be me..but is Tom Savini acting quite arrogant towards James?

Quote, 'you don't know shit!' & 'I'm carrying a MACHETE, what am I gonna' do? Stuff it down your throat?!'

Just seems to me to be like he's treating him like another idiot who hassles for interviews. They're both film makers. And one of them has had his break, and rightly so as Tom Savini is hugely talented as we all know. But it seems to me he could have shown a little more respect towards him. Just my opinion is all.

  • hes kinda of an ass toward james

  • @sev122 hes much more nicer and relaxed in the second intervie

  • @sev122 Nah, he was fine. When when he made the "you don't know shit' comment, I'm sure it wasn't meant to be taken seriously. You'd be suprised at some of the stuf guys say to each other, and yet don't mean anything by it.

They say he's an asshole in person, but he seem ok in this interview.

  • He looks so nervous, but mind you so would i with a flick knife held up to my face.

  • @russ2187 Yes.

  • Isnt that guy the angry nintendo nerd !!

  • crotch gun appeared in Desperado with El Marachi says it save my life a few times.

  • tom savini is the man. he is a big name in the horror community

  • You dont know shit! lol.

  • @LogiMotion Yes, in his documentary Scream Greats he talked about being in Vietnam and how it influenced his make up designs. He was already into it when he joined the service, but his main job was a combat photographer, mainly taking pictures of corpses.
