Meh linked Mac Pros? Cost and Space is too high and connectivity is limited. 1U or 2U racks is what you need.

With (Open)Solaris, bunch of fast-connected computes can actually act as One big computer for your multicore-optimized app.

Heh, I can tell -someone-'s never set foot inside a datacentre.
Rack servers are *designed* to be stacked, which is why ventilation is usually at the front and back. That's also why the front of that rack is a grille rather than a solid panel.
