Well I have the same problem, but every time I put it on the AC for about 5 minutes then it works :)

how bad was your signal before you got thhe signal booster? how many bars and how many dbm?

My first Incredible had horrible call quality. I could hear others; they couldn't hear me well.
Verizon quickly sent me a replacement. But it sucks too.
My neighbors use Verizon with good results, so I don't think the carrier is the problem.
My three year old ATT Blackberry worked great. But once I moved to the Incredible, it was nothing but pain.
I can't use this.
Don't diss the maker of this video for his accent. Talk substance. What? You can't hear me? It must be this sucky Incredible...

My phone works great, however the network extender only works when you place a phone call and or receive one. It does not work as an antenna to boost your signal. It also does not boost data. Dial #48 and it will tell you if you are running through it. Read the complete instructions, its all in there. This is how bad information gets circulated!!

Did you bother actually testing the phone? The signal strength seemed fine. it looks like the display was just off. Were you able to make calls? If so, you're making an aesthetic, inconvenient problem sound much worse than it is. You actually had amazing signal strength. Hell, for all we know thats why it displayed nothing. You may have had a better signal than what the display was programmed for.
Post a video of a call not being able to connect and then you'll have something.

I hate when they give rednecks "new-fangled" technology and explain it in practice, and they still don't have a clue... The signal "bars" are not the gospel sonny-jim, just to let you know what you are working with..
If you knew anything about the technology you are complaining about, -35 is a pretty good signal, just because the "indicators" might show you have less signal, as many people have pointed out, you are wasting your breath bubba...

signal strength is at -38dbm, thats really good. he should test it by actually making a phone call at least, instead of just looking at the signal strength icon as gospel

Hmm... whats more annoying?
Your country bumpkin drawl or the fact that you keep covering your mic mid sentence making it hard(er) to understand what you're saying.
Yes I had pre-ordered mine off the verizon wireless website and I contacted HTC about the problem and they told me to hold the phone with 3 fingers and not put the back of the phone in my hand as I guess the internal antenna is somewhere in there. You can still make a recv phone call, but I think they need to fix this problem first. Every thing else is great on the phone and you would love it, just the annoying bars droping on the screen.
