those land rover discovery whose underpinnings go back to 1940s..

but since it still works so good then why to change. as of the other car the ambassador,

yea it is based on 1960s..morris oxford(must correct u there)..but now its actaullay a modern isuzu

accept the shape..in general like the indian economy wich is growing at close to 2digit growth rate per annum, the indian auto industry is

also growing at huge numbers...

@toak5 well to start with...i would say the jeep that mahindra

still produces r much modern in tech then those ww2(mid 1940s, not 1930 jeeps)...modern engine,

modern transmission n 4x4 system...the only reason the shape is still on is coz its the very

basic of 4x4...n it works much better that way...its(with the new added technology) probably one of the

best 4x4 around...n thats why probably the lil knwn american company "icon" modifies the jeep n sells it....

@toak5 - I don think so ... if u see Mahindra's new site .... u will see wht I mean ... indians always liked those shape ... bt Mahindra made them wit modern tech ... so is Ambassador (HM) ... bt I agree ambassador shuld be stopped nd ... i guess no one buys them nw ... newayz ... check out Tata Motor's and Mahindra ... ur preception will change ... cheers

the car information is quite detailed.. ok good review.. Im js wondering if u indians r so concerned with the details of the car, whereby stating boldly american cars produced "rubbish cars".haha! Dont u think ur cars r way much worse.. No offence, its a fact.. Y ur country's national car manufacturers produces car of auctioned blueprints of 1930s jeep (mahindra) and moris minor (ambassador) until now?!
