  • okay. I am american and english grammar comes good to me...she says it weird.

  • @carlijoy494 But it's not grammar ...

  • I think i will have to see this video like a 1000 of times because that difference you talk about is like really hard to understand, I mean the sound... :(

  • @anhel2020 It really is so hard ... very subtle. Best of luck! Hope by the 1000th time it's easier to understand! :)

  • Oh my gosh this is funny. I'm a native speaker of American English, and watching this makes me realize how dang hard it must be for a non-native speaker to tell the difference between something as crucial as can vs. can't. English is such a crazy language

  • It's fun to watch these -- I'm a native American English speaker -- it's cool to see all the quirky things we do without even thinking about it. I can see how it would be very difficult to learn an American English accent.

  • @shariwhite1 Yes, non-verbal clues are ALWAYS of the utmost importance in communication.

  • @winonamajick Hmmm. I am an English ESL teacher and I couldn't hear the difference in some of her examples. I think looking for non-verbal clues such as shaking of the head might help non-native English Speakers.

  • I also notice that the intonation or the pitch pattern or whatever, I think u know what I mean, that people say can also help to figure out what they mean.

  • wow, it's a very good video! I do understand now the difference! :) thanks a lot, but I have to say that british pronunciation of that contraction is more friendly to the foreign speakers! I've learnt my english there and I didn't have any problems with can/ can't understanding or pronounciation! once again thanks for this video!

  • @anhel2020 Dude I think Ill have to watch this a thousand times myself. its the same!!!!

  • @MrAngel1489 thanks lot !!!! hahaha

  • Cant you tell ma what's the difference between vowel e and ae(as in can). I saw you pronunciate the same. It's really confused for me.

  • Thanks, it's helpful.
