I wanted to make a demo reel. As you can see I like the no narration style with music. I am the kind of person who feels quite at home communing with nature. The backdrop for the film is Baja, California, Mexico - the land I have grown to love. Baja, fortunately for me, still has these places where you can go and camp by the sea without someone chasing you off. However the fencing is being placed at a good pace. My concern for Baja is that it will soon become like Southern California in the US, and that worry is reflected in the film. Human activity certainly does make for interesting time lapse video. I tried to not use any standard transitions between each scene. I set a fast pace where the images really keep the viewers attention. I wonder if I could do that for an hour long project? I plan to find time to make a better soundtrack with ocean sounds at next opportunity. Especially important for the Pelican surfing scene. Hopefully in the coming week. I have the sound recordings. Almost always it is too windy to use the video camera sound. I don't like the muffled recordings using a dead cat either.
