The Timeline panel's new Frame Mode, aka Vertical Timeline, gives you a powerful tool for diagnosing visual "jank" in your apps. You'll quickly be able to tie visual slowness back to your script so you have an idea where to improve things.

True! In fact, requestAnimationFrame just shuts off in a background tab. It goes to 0fps. Also any setIntervals drop to once a second (max!).

Nope, downloaded latest Canary and standard Chrome and it isn't there it the dev bar settings. Running Win 7.
