mate, I have the answer.
mind your fingers but get a knife and cut the double sided tape that holds the front plastic bezel off the orange plastic. With that gone you will se the 6 little screws.
go for it

kitchen knife and a hammer would work just as well :)

smack it hard into the ground, it always works for me!

you need to remove the bezel, there you'll find 6 screws if i remember correctly. use only a li-polymer battery on this thing. also, when opening be careful not to rip off the speaker wiring(or is it microphone?). not that it's hard to solder it back on, but it's not that easy.

@Muphlon good tip about the speaker wire, thanks for that.

A tip for nicer FM transmitter playback when playing mp3 music, go to the equiliser settings and change the preamp so that its about 1/4 only, this should reduce FM distortion considerably.

If you ever find-out make sure to post it here.
I bought it and I wanna open it too.
I don't think you'll be able to cram a higher capacity battery in there as it's way too slim.
You might be lucky with the Nokia E71 battery (BP-4L) which is slim and has 1500mah capacity.
Good luck and let me know how it goes.

@sunbl0ck Yeah there are probably a few different batteries that might work but I havent tried again to get it open, maybe when it only starts lasting for 5 minutes I will give it another try. If you do figure it out, please link to it from a comment in this video if you remember.

@Fontgod Actually after a lot of googling I found it!!
It seems that you have to pry the front bezel, and the screws are underneath.
I'm very tempted to open it and I own it less than 24 hours
Unfortunately youtube doesn't allow links in comments...
If you google "Help! Can I replace the battery?" with the quotes, you'll get just one result. click it, and then go to page 2. There is a photo there.

@sunbl0ck Excellent sleuthing, well done and thanks. I had seen that thread before but some new info there now. I know a few hacks for this unit now such as how to edit chinese timezone (mine is primarily in english but chinese timezone for some reason), also now how to change the loading screen and have found a video player that plays much smoother. Get in touch if interested.
