Not to be mean but, the way you handled the Trout isn't the only thing wrong in this video. You are fishing in an illegal section of BHC. Fishing from the dam down to where the creek flows under Catoctin Hollow road is illegal. Heck, it is illegal to even walk there. You are one lucky man not getting caught by the Rangers or Fish & Game. You may want to mention that you were fishing illegally too, to your kids, so that they don't get any crazy ideas.

Would like to see more fish-catching action, better video quality and the camera closer to the subject. But it was nice to see shots of the area as I'm new to this section of MD. Thanks for sharing...

@mlpenrod I grew up on an old sulfur stream in western pa that cleaned up with time and used to be full of 9 10 11 inch natives. i used to fish it everyday. Still do sometimes when i can tear myself away from the little j

Ahh last time I checked, those things are called brown trout, if you wanna see a brookie, look at some of my videos. Shows how much you really know...

Great VID!!! Went up last weekend, heading up again this weekend!

Did you try the Frank Smoot pool? We went there today and caught 2 brownies out of it.

Nice Brown. I fish up there quite often and know how hard those browns are to catch. Good job.
Recently, I hooked into a 13 1/4 inch Brookie (very skinny though) in the pool directly across from the Visitors center, just down from the bench. Thought you might like to know. #12 Royal Wulff
Note about this video --- some people have commented about the time it took for me to get this trout back in the water (youtube removed some comments due to profanity) My kids and other family members will see this one day so FOR THE RECORD, this is not an appropriate way to handle a trout. I should have dipped my hands in the water before touching the fish and I should have released it immediately. I respect trout and Big Hunting Creek. My bad.
