Aivaliotiko Zeibekiko Ayvalik Greek Turkish shared musics

One of the most well known and most frequently recorded Zeibekiko tunes among Greeks is the Aivaliotiko. As the name indicates, it is especially associated with the town of Aivali / Ayvalik on the Aegean coast of Turkey. Before the Exchange of Populations in 1922-24 Aivali was a predominantly Greek inhabited town.

@Spyrosthekarter Αμάν πια όλοι σας! Μίσος και άγνοια! Οι Τούρκοι έχουν ολοκληρωμένη δική τους παράδοση στα ζεϊμπέκικα, που δεν είναι βέβαια άσχετη με την ελληνική αλλά πάντως δεν ταυτίζεται. Το αν πριν αιώνες το πρώτο ζεϊμπέκικο το έβγαλε έλληνας ή τούρκος δε λέει τίποτε. Σήμερα το τούρκικο ζεϊμπέκικο είναι αυθεντικά τούρκικο, και το ελληνικό αυθεντικά ελληνικό.
