An announcement was made by Will Whitehorn, director of Virgin Galactic (VG) that they would be working with NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) do conduct experiments in the atmosphere and space into climate change. Whitehorn was joined on the podium by Brent Smith, the chief of the International and Interagency Affairs Office at NOAA.

  • This has given me a good introduction to the NOAA / Virgin Galactic project. Virgin Atlantic has taken a very responsible position. This is a good posting for geophysicists; particularly for those who need to be inspired. There are projects out there that are valuable and worth your time. This is one of them! (note Richard Branson's reference to the renewable sources aspect).
