Overwhelming song, the way it builds and breaks through to bliss.
But I can tell you've got some of the lyrics wrong. It's "Do not do not deny my / Attention to detail".
Other lyrics I *think* you've got wrong but your guess is as good as mine: I hear "Do not do not deny me / Deny my love's reveal".
I thought Twin Cinema was an underwhelming album in general but this track is a stunning exception.

This is surely one of the most underrated tracks in the NP catalogue. The brass and the beats takes you to another level of existence, and the way the track fades out during the last 1:30 is just pure aural ecstasy. Better than drugs.

There are some songs you encounter, sometimes, that prove you've learned something about music. For me, this is one of them. I heard it years ago, whenever I first got this album, and it just irked me because it seemed catchy but insubstantial. Listening today, I can't understand how I missed how well it was written.
