Our indigenous weapons may not be the best .. but we dont reverse engineer every military equipment we buy from other countries and make cheap replica's to tell that our weapons are first grade like you Chinese.

@gopa50 army has now upped the number from 124 to 250.. after march 10 trials.. athough no official statistics have been published, a general consensus is that arjun was atleast equal, if not better than t-90(not t-72, because of size and weight class).

You would rather be flying a 'Chinese' cheap copy of Su-27(i would rather better like to call it an imitation of Su-27 than a copy of Su-27) rather than a genuine indigenous Indian Fighter (Which to you looks from 1960s design). Arjun was designed to replace some 3000 T-72 that India has,and its better than T-72 is all respect- fire power, range, capacity. Its not a MBT like T-90 or Leopard2A. Army now wants a ultra-modern tank. Main issue is not strcutural but with heating problem in Deserts & underpowered engine since the upgraded tanks now weighs 59T vs T-72 at 42T. Army has ordered for induction of 124 Arjuns with german engines. India cant replace 5000 tanks overnight in comparison UK has 450 MBT Challenger 2.
