It should have happened...guess the BCS came a few years too late. Oh well. I'll take shutting Miami up in their own house, and I'm sure you loved it when PSU shut down those camo-wearing homo's in the Fiesta Bowl in the '80's.

@tbehmer, i would have loved to see 94 PENN ST. vs. NEBRASKA, too bad it never happened.

lmao, so true, and as a PENN STATE fan i have to admit NEBRASKA was friggin' awesome. They finally got speed to go with those big farm boys, they would have run over MIAMI, seriously, no bias.... they had the size of big 10 teams and speed of SEC teams...friggin' awesome. Osbourne knew he needed speed especially at corneback, i think he even said something along those lines.

A combination of guys using Miami as a ticket to the NFL and guys they recruited out of South Florida jails and juvenile detention centers...you know, the usual.

An unranked BC team led by freaking Brian St Pierre was 9 yards away from beating you. VT was a dropped ball away from taking you to OT. No team came within 2 TD's of the '95 Huskers. But don't let facts get in your way.

PS...the '95 NU team was defending a title, which means you have a target on your back and you're getting everyones best shot, and nobody came close to beating them. So the upperclassmen already had a ring, and the young players on the '95 team were so good that they won a title of their own in '97. Anyone on the '01 UM team have multiple National Champ rings? Didn't think so.

Mickey Mouse offense? Says the guy who's Ken Dorsey...wow. Frazier >>>>>> Dorsey. '95 NU played 4 top 10 teams, and beat them by an average score of 49-18. Alot more impressive than almost losing twice. Osborne would have coached circles around Coker. NU wins by 10.

How does the "greatest team ever" barely escape unranked BC and need a VT wide receiver to drop a ball to avoid OT? No team came within 2 TD's of the '95 NU team. Wilfork (who didnt start at Thug []_[] til '03) and Vilma were no better than Sapp and Ray Lewis, and they both got their asses handed to them by the '94 NU O-line, which only got better going into '95. Ed Reed is a coverage safety. Sean Taylor was a non-starting freshman in 2001. OH, and Osborne is 10 times the coach Coker is.

2001 CANES would have gotten their. asses kicked.

1992 Alabama would have beat them both because f their ridiculous defense.
