It was very enlightening to see this video as I was always aware of the basic problem of exponential consumption since 1970 when I read "Limits to Growth" . At some point everything is going to come to a grinding halt and economies will be ruined in the process; let alone resource wars such as over water and fuel and general chaos in public life. I cringe that I may live to see this day arrive.

@wootlanter...haven't even experienced the modern world of the USA. They still live in a world where illiteracy is common, and education is sparse. The US is the leader on this issue cuz we consume the most. We started the oil boom and now its ending. We need innovation, not hostility. I don't care who solves the problem, Germany, Ireland, China, UK, Sweden, etc. He/She will be a fellow person and I will be proud of my species on that day.
