Interesting Critique...School Daze is one of my favorite movies ever...I dont think the scope was broad enough. You can't discount the experience being all of the things that are portrayed in the movie. Dap and Julian represent two sides of the same coin...but they share a vision of making the people better.

First, great critique of the film, I think you hit a lot of major points in the head. I would take your analysis of the "Wake Up" phrase and stance and use it as a lens to debunk the issues illuminated in the KFC scene. Particularly with the Mission college students and the locals. I think that is a major part of Spike's message in this film in that one scene.
