At the World Economic Forum on Latin America, we set up the Davos Debates video booth and invite presidents, dignitaries and business leaders in attendance to stop by and respond via video to your questions and ideas about the regions most pressing challenges.
So what are the challenges and opportunities for Latin America in the next 10 years?
Pose your idea or question in video or text and submit it at http://youtube.com/davos. You can vote on your favourite submissions from others too.
We'll put the top-voted submissions to the leaders in Cartagena, Colombia from 6-8 April 2010 when they come to the Davos Debates booth, giving you direct access to some of the most powerful and influential people in the world.

The Annual Meeting in Davos is over but we have half a dozen regional meetings where we continue the public discussion about regional issues on the Davos Debates.

  • I think I'll submit a video this time :)

  • Like adolescents some Latin American countries still resent being raised by their mother, Spain, or patronized by their powerful neighbour, the US.

200 years of independence celebrated this year should be the moment of finally coming of age and not blame others for their failures. Lat. America should wake up and unite but not against enemies, real ones or invented, but to discover and use the great potential of their people.

    Constantino de Miguel

  • Pervasive challenges still are public security and institutional development to support democratic governance, as well as eco-sustainability ... big opportunity, not to be missed is developing its large young population into a true knowledge-intensive talent pool to pull the region´s competitiveness ahead. Another area of opportunity lies in its capacity to harness global post-Kyoto protocol negotiations, to scale-up projects to cut CO2 emissions.

  • What an interesting topic...starting from the fact that there are different realities when talking about different countries of Latin America. My home country is Argentina. Best regards to everyone.
