Plug-in Vehicles 2008: What Role for Washington, was an effort of both Google.org and the Brookings Institution to stimulate the debate and catalyze change on plug-in vehicle policies in Washington.
PANEL 1: Imagining the Plug-In Future
What if tens of millions of cars and trucks could connect to the electric grid? What impact would that have on geopolitics, the natural environment, the electric grid and family pocketbooks? How would the world be different if cars and trucks could run on electricity in addition to oil?

The above comment totally takes the focus out of the goodness & greatness of the idea that these brilliant minds are striving to materialise. Although I disagree with the manner in which the thought was expressed, I agree that such alternate fuel technologies will eventually free the world from its dependency (read addiction) on oil. This has a ripple effect and will result in oil rich countries losing importance in the global scene, hence driving them to humility rather than arrogance.

If God wanted these cars he wouldnt have given us the Bible to use as a tool to set the arabs straight about who God REALLY is so they would give us access to cheap oil. To support plug in hybrids is to give up on the dream of bringing the Word of God to the Godless.
