stop trying to put a price on the destruction of our planet. humans evolve in many ways, and we need to evolve the way we obtain energy. why do you republicans insist on using oil? do you realize that gas prices in Great Britain are currently at $10 dollars a gallon? and that the average brit uses 1/2 the gas of an American? that is the direction we need to be moving toward, charging more so we use less.

Do you remember you science text books in school? Millions of years ago, when dinosaurs ruled the world, when the earth was much "warmer" than it is today. Was T-Rex driving around in his SUV warming the planet? During the Middle Ages the earth was warmer than it is today. In fact, when the vikings settled Greenland they brought their livestock over there. Live stock cannot live in Greenland today. Were the Vikings build factories warming the planet? Put down the Kool-Aid.

What does any of that have to do with drilling materials from the earth? I have a science degree and I can tell you that when you drill holes into the earth, and suck out its materials, you cause damage to it by default. What replaces the materials you remove from those places? Alot of time, salt water (which erodes the lands.) We are capable of converting energy without depletion of earths materials. Your law school education only works with law.

Actually you have "proven" no such thing. All you have done is "proven" that humans were not the cause of global warming in the past, before the industrial age when they began to harness oil as an energy source. Oh, btw its global climate change, NOT global warming. Some parts of the globe will get much cooler, others warmer, and some parts will be under 500 ft of water-so the theory goes anyway....
