amazing track. love the sounds u used. Did u know there was a Fairlight plug in for Propellerheads reason by Bitley called Fairlight Legacy II and theres an extended one called Fairlight Legacy XXL too. I love the fairlight sound but can't afford a real one, this plug in that i mentioned is probably something i will get myself, although i only do music for myself and nobody else, it'd be fun to experiment with sounds

Very good, great electronic sound. Just what I like!

Wow, what bass sample are you using? I don't seem to see it in the description.

Those Mirage pianos really stand out, don't they? Nothing else quite like them. You hear Mirage samples all over a lot of classic hip-hop, too...

Super cool oldschool sample sound that piano sounds great for a sample. How do you find the Oberheim DPX-1 works for you?
I have an S900 and there is a DPX-1 for sale near me that I was thinking about picking up just so I can save some of the poly in my S900 but still get those cool sample chords.
Can't find much info on it as a machine other than that its a sample player compatile with almost all samplers of the time so I would be interested to hear what you think of it.

@snolan1990 I actually ended up selling the unit not too long after this video. My disc drive was acting up, I think that's the biggest problem with these older 80s units...Mine had the additional analog filter and something else I believe it was the second to last generation made. I used it more just as a standard sample player for my Mirage and Prophet 2002 discs...I would pick that up if it seems to work fairly well and isn't much more than $100..

As a previous owner of a Fairlight IIx, I can asure You all of that disregarding the fact that it has the memory of that time, it has the sound of HiFi that few nowdays even get close too.
I mean, the dynamics is absolutely scary.
If You play a base note or a sound that goes donw ther, it realy shakes You.
It REALY sounds as big and heavy as the computer is.
No kidding!
It has dynamics in SPADES and it is scary to hear it and compare it to other NEW synths now out there.

That's very interesting, it's a shame you had ot let it go! I would love just to try one out for a few mins...BTW how was the keyboard that came with it (I believe it came with two if I'm not mistaken...they functioned like a master and slave?) Anyway how would you compare the feel? Did it feel as grand as it was? I'm sure they didn't cheap out on the keyboard...

Very nice. Sounds like a Tears For Fears influence!

Thanks buddy! Yeah I frequently listen to them as well...They happened to use the Fairlight on their two biggest songs (Everybody Wants To Rull The World, and Shout)...so you are correct :)
