@poomplexsoljah Just because they did bad in one world cup, does not mean that they were a bad team at that time. Italy never made it out of the group stages and neither did France. These countries were some favourites to atleast do very well in 2010. Czech Republic were also expected to do well in 2006, but they sadly didn't perform as good as they should. I guess i was just trying to prove the unreliability of football. A couple of lost matches can never be a good example of them being bad...

@poomplexsoljah The English and Italians were also expected to do good this year in 2010... It can be down to bad luck, lack of form, lack of concentration or just simply a bad world cup. In 2001, England beat Germany 5-1 in a friendly, but Germany then went on the the 2002 world cup final. And this year, Spain won the world cup, but then lost 4-1 to Argentina a couple of weeks later... In the South African world cup, the ONLY unbeaten team were New Zealand. Look it up.
