This is ok to do but dont get in the habit of letting them see the coon in the tree. That makes them hunt with their eyes rather than their nose. In the real hunt, it may cause her/him to look up and try to see the coon and if not, she may leave the tree.
Again, its ok what you are doing just dont overdo it with them using their eyes.
