Pop Haydn--The Teaching Act Part 1

Pop Haydn presents his famous "Teaching Act" in the Parlor of Prestidigitation of the Magic Castle.

Part 1 of 4.

This act was developed from his 1960's street act as performed in New York City, London, Paris and Jerusalem, and contains his original published routines
the Mongolian Pop-Knot and the Comedy Four Ring Routine.

This is the act that won the Magic Castle's "Stage Magician of the Year" in 1979, and "Parlor Magician of the Year" in 1995 and 2002.

Taped in February, 2008.

I'm a starting magician (well, I've been performing for family and friends for s few years) and this guy is absolutely great. His handling and sleights are great, his misdirection is of the best, and of course and perhaps the most important, he PRESENTS a trick fantastic and builds a great routine around it. I wish he would live a litle closer to Belgium so I could enjoy a performance of him. I know how most of his tricks go, but I just want to see and hear him PERFORM :)

Whit is a fantastic performer. I love his slow southern drawl. He definitely uses it to his advantage. You can do the same tricks, but it would be practially impossible to get the same effect. Nice job, Whit.

I saw Whit perform in Texas last year. He is one of the most entertaining performers around.

Thanks alot for the videos whit. My all time dream is to be in the magic castle, but its hard to get in considering in from alberta canada. and the trip to the magic land is just to far for me right now I just wanna say that Pop is the greatest showman and performer that i have ever seen.
