  • No you are right I did not mention it ...ha ! apologies....I did two clips actually here but the first one I did not like so i did not upload it, now that was the one where I had spoken about the burners ...... there are two weed burners that come in on the same side as the chimney one on each side of the kiln shelf at the bottom. I have done previous clips on this self same kiln with me firing it and everything. Look under "converted gas kiln" or similar. KP ~ SL

  • I think that question I have answered in the video ? Two burners in the holes I pointed out, in the clip for weed burners. I suggest you rewind back a bit . KP ~ SL

  • Hello Simon

I am in the process of converting my old electrics to a downdraft gas (using your plan) please go over the configuration and function of the bricks under the bottom shelf. I also have a web site and a facebook page.

  • greetings Simon, I need to ask, how much gas do you burn per hour of work of burner? is it cheaper to use gas kiln instead of electric ones? if i understood it right in previous videos firing lasts about 2 hours...thank you.

  • So Simon, i love the vids, ive followed you for several years now. but the time has come. you HAVE to do something about the audio on your vids!

  • I love how you answer the phone in the middle of the clip. Call back later man I'm busy.

  • Simon, have you taken the element out of the electric kiln to convert to gas

  • I've also too have also caught myself interested in an approximation of the amount of propane the 2 weed burner set up would require, I very well just might convert an old kiln I picked up for just around 30 bucks(electronics are messing you see). rather simple design and it makes sense as far as an efficient heat flow goes.

  • based on the two weed burners,,,do you have an approximate amount of gas used per firing,,,,thanks,,

  • that was terrific,,,,thanks,,,

  • well done.
