Hmmm, best I can come up with is, he dropped the cigarette when he slid it through his palm ( camera cut of at that part, which was the whole point. ) He had already taken a puff of smoke before starting the trick ( was just keeping it in his lungs. ) Then, to create the illusion, he pretends to light the cigarette that isn't even there, and blows out the smoke already in his system.
Note: Just an assumption to how it was done.

you don't have to be a smoker for this trick.I simply palm the cig with the hand I push it in with so I have a fist full of nothing.I then grabbed the matches which makes the trick. (just look up the trick "Wanted" because it's what i used) When you light the match at he same time you inhale with you nose. The sulphur forms smoke in your lungs and you blow it out for the illusion. it tingles at first when doing it and it would take a lot of matches to do medical harm if any at all.
