Monster Tank CA/SA Cichlid 135G (Part II)

Here is a new video of my Central American/South American Cichlid Tank.
stocking: Female Midas, Jack Dempsey, Mayan (false Red Terror), Texas Cichlid, 6 pink convicts and two Giant Danios.

yeah I had to move into a smaller apt. depending on the temperment of the Midas you could pull off s small community. The Texas in the tank turned out to be pretty weak so I soon took it out.. ended up with just the Midas, 6 convicts 3 pink males, 3 black females, and the Jack Dempsey.

my advice is to keep an eye on aggression and take out either the aggressor or the weak fish. I didn't lose any fishes due to aggression.

The midas is a female, I thought it was a male for the size and the nuchal hump. The eggs proved me wrong. I do have some aggression and since taking this video I've removed the false RT, and the Texas. I now have a Midas, JD, and 5 convicts.

In a 65 I would either keep a pair of nice GT's or a Midas but not both. If the tank is only 3' long I would not put the Midas (especially if male)

Mayans are pretty cool I had one and it was vvery aggressive untill he got stuck in a cave and I had to push him out. For some reason he was never the same after that

I understand you don't have this set up any more but that was a great looking tank! Did this combo of fish work pretty good when you had them? I am looking at doing something very similar in my 125 gallon. I would like to get a texas, a midas, maybe a trimac, and then add some silver dollars or female convicts. What are your thoughts?
