"Balay Anito Falls" is located around 4-5 kilometers from the main town of Santol, La Union. According to my guide, in the early times locals have sighted a ball of fire on this waterfall. In the paganistic tradition, balls of fire were spirits or "anitos." "Balay" means a house or a dwelling. Hence the name, Balay Anito.
I do hope that the preservation of this natural beauty will continue to enchant other people.

what a beauty! the place is serene and everytime i look at this picture i couldn't help myself not to think of going back for another visit. this is where my relatives in santol used to take us during our summer vacation 40 years ago! i was there last 1997 and the place was still the same. i've had a wonderful time with my relatives. the visit was too short but it was all worthted and i enjoyed my relatives company. i'm hoping to visit soon. fr; flor of houston,texas

It's good that you posted the pride of Santol(Anito Falls). I am from this place also and we should make a way that this place will be discovered and to be developed as a tourist spot of Santol. You've done a good job!

this is my mothers home town and i was here in 1997 with my relatives.ireally love this place.
