Rod McKuen was my sanctuary during my teen years. This was one of my favorites. You can almost feel the warmth through his words in this song. Such tenderness...i would escape from the world when, all by myself in my room, i would play his music over and over. i am so glad that i still have some of his great books...

I remember holding the first and only love of my life listening to Rod McKuen records all those years, tears, and fears ago. Life was so simple and love was so real. Funny how such sadness can make you feel so good. Brings back all the memories and possibilities of a life not lived.
