  • pearl made in china

  • @kalidoresdan I dont care if they were made on Mars. The drums sound amazing. Period.

  • Billy?? Help me!! awesome video! i don't know if i should cut a hole in the front head of my bass drum?? i don't mic - but which is better??

  • @dannysanchez31 There's no "better" way. It all depends on what your looking for. A 22" bass drum without a hole and no pillow or muffling can sound huge. Really cool if your playing lots of space. It also has more of a bounce to the feel of the pedals. But, try and play 280bpm and it will sound like a constant lowend rumble.

I have a 4" hole that is off to the right of my main kick. Just big enough to get my hand or mic into it. That way I can manipulate a pillow or mic placement.

  • amazing, i understand why you say you are a pro. Anyone could get you mistakened for being a pro though. Please tell what drum mics u use and equipment, please reply;)

  • @TheDrummerGuy1203 I have a huge list of gear. I just list the basics. EV 408a and b mics for toms. AKG d112 for kick. Audio Teh overheads. MXL room, ride and bottom snare. Shure 57 top snare. Motu 896mk3 interface. 3 Motu 8pre's. Euphonix MC mix, MC control and MC transport. Custom built iMac. Line 6 pod, yamaha drum brain for triggers. Mogami cables. Logic pro 8, Digital Performer, waves gold, focusrite, amplitube, BBC, Melodine, Superior Drummer, etc, etc, software.

  • @mikeybbdrummin I don't find it funny as you do. I think it's pretty sad that I have to label my videos as "wicked" etc. But that is marketing. Unfortunatly my life and career hasn't panned out like Steve Smith or Steve Vai. At this point there names are all they need. Either one of them could shit on a camera and get a million views. So,as I understand what your trying to do with your comment,

I know for a fact that you wouldn't have watched this video if it were labeled "drum solo".

  • @TheDrummerGuy1203 I put the word "pro" into some of my titles because I have played drums for a living since 1991. In my mind, a professional is someone who gets payed for a service and pays their bills with that service. Hope I didn't bother you too much.

  • Hey Billy - you are sounding as great as ever! I hope you are well my friend. You are a real talent! Darrell

  • I think Billy is the only drummer around who can channel Thomas Lang ;)

  • Brilliant! (Though I could have done without the blast beat at 5:28--Too much of that around!) GREAT studio mix. (Wish I could get MY drums to sound so good). What was that at 0:52 and other places? A backing track? How'd you trigger it? Sounds great. Innovative and creative addition. Great video. Great solo!

  • Great! ... the 19 "I do not like" do not understand anything about the drumming!!

  • beautiful
