I know it must have been mentioned ( and spot on demo, by the way) how is the fact that mag N is changing going to effect accuracy? especially with pole shif coming up. Or are you in the camp that Mag N will never change?

@stealinator Well I know it wanders around up to something like 80km in the same spot all the time so I guess if it keeps this up over the next 25years or so we'll have to learn a table to compensate depending on your geographical location.

does declination north change? i seem to remember reading something about that a few years ago, call the airport to find current dec. north or something?

Good vid. I like that compass, what make/model is it?

I ended up making a small label stuck under the base of my compass with the most current downloaded declination (degrees), and a reminder for converting Magnetic N. --> Grid N., and vice versa. I've been self-teaching myself this stuff, and find it pretty fun. I try to incorporate it regularly when I go geocaching.
